On my three days of hiking in False Cape State Park, I observed the following species of wildlife.  The coolest sighting was the pair of mature bald eagles, flying in formation together over the wetlands.

Kingfisher
Cardinal
Greater yellowleg
Osprey
Great blue heron
Great egret
Snowy egret
Rufus-sided towhee
Green heron
Brown pelican
Red-winged blackbird
Lesser scaup
Carolina chickadee
American coot
Morning dove
Double-crested cormorant
Hawk (an unidentified accipiter)
Turkey vulture
Glossy ibis
White ibis
Harrier
Northern shoveler
Bald eagle
Killdeer
Many unidentified ducks and wading birds
Nutria or muskrat (I think the former)
Yellow-bellied slider
